Rush Limbaugh Gloats On Kennedy Death Prediction
August 27, 2009
(ChattahBox) — Crowing like a rooster but really just being a cock, Rush Limbaugh was busy clucking and patting himself on the back Wednesday for predicting a year ago that the health care bill wouldn’t be passed before Ted Kennedy’s death.
“Before it’s all over, it’ll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care Bill,” Limbaugh said at the time.
With Ted Kennedy’s passing, Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.) has called for health care reform legislation to be named in his honor.
Limbaugh, who was criticized for his insensitivity over the Kennedy remarks, was gleeful that his prediction came true: “I predicted it, and I caught all kinds of grief for it out there,” he said.
“The Left is exploiting him (Kennedy) – his death and his legacy – and they are going to do it, as predicted, to push health care through,” Limbaugh said. Limbaugh a vocal critic of health care reform also was happy to exploit the party line rhetoric, pointing out that Kennedy did not have to face death panels in his final days.
