Everyone wants marijuana legal. The reason this man was killed is because the killer is tired of hiding from the government. Alcohol is ten times worse than marijuana. And our governments officials more than likely drink alcohol and thats why its legal to this day. If people must be killed to legalize marijuana than let the killings begin. I’ve been arrested for possession three times and there is more times to come. I will never stop smoking. NEVER. LEGALIZE MARIJUANA OR DIE FEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it had anything to do with marijuana we could stop things like this from happening… MAKE IT LEGAL and regulate it like alcohol. Put all the gangsters out of the marijuana business and collect the taxes that are funding the gangsters that traffic in marijuana.

JoJo, perhaps you are not from the South. Family reunions in rural cemeteries are indeed festive events.here. The custom arose from annual “cemetery cleanings,” when all the families who have relatives buried in these small graveyards come with rakes, shovels, and flowers or plants to maintain and beautify the premises. The work is followed by what we call “dinner on the ground,” a potluck picnic. I myself attend two such events every year, though in both cases my family has participated in setting up perpetual care, so shovels and rakes are no longer necessary. Beautification now consists of making elaborate silk floral decorations. In our family, that’s my job, and I usually at least twenty of those every year for five different cemeteries. In two of those, I am the landscaper because we provide our own maintenance for these purely private family cemeteries. As you may infer, we approach an almost Chinese level of filial piety down here, and we find these times of remembrance both comforting and joyful.

My Nebraska-born brother-in-law was very surprised by all this. He calls our cemetery reunions “partying with the dead people.” I like that name. It’s very accurate!

I find it amusing that the writer would refer to the outing (visiting a graveyard) as a “festive” event.

As for the rest, I have NO CLUE as to why law enforcement thinks the general public is stupid enough to believe it when they don’t know if it’s murder or suicide. I don’t think it’s an easy thing to do….duct taping your wrists and ankles and hanging yourself. I thought it was funny when a reporter asked if there was a CHAIR in the vicinity. Yeah, like people are going to pack a chair out there. A more practical way would be for him to use his truck.

Someone posted that it’s most likely a druggie that did this. I think the guy got a bit too close to something illegal. Either a meth lab, pot farm or some large scale moonshine. People there are extremely clannish and do not like strangers (especially law enforcement) in their business.

I cannot possibly how any sane official of any state can think of this as a suscide.
It baffles me that something like this can occur in a state with its civil reputation. It has to be drug related. Only a druggie would be this insane.

In my opinion, it is very obvious someone with an attitude of hatred toward government killed this man. Why else would the killer write “FED” on his chest? Previous articles stated police did NOT know if this was a murder or a suicide; really? The man is gagged, feet, ankles, hands wrapped in duct tape, duct tape on his eyes, gagged, a rope around his neck, and police think it might be a suicide? This is definitely a murder derived from hatred!! Hope the police are still looking for a suspect as there is NO way this gentleman did this to himself! I am sorry for the pain and suffering you endures and may you rest in peace, Mr. Sparkman.
