Racist N-Word Sign Attacks Obama’s Health Reform

October 10, 2009

(ChattahBox)— Patrick Lanzo likes to generate negative attention, by openly displaying his ugly racism and hate in the most vile and public ways possible. The owner of a roadside bar in a small Georgia town, Lanzo recently erected a giant sign in front of his Ku Klux Klan themed speakeasy, with the message: “Obama’s plan for health-care: Ni**er rig it.”

Lanzo’s dank wood-framed Georgia Peach Oyster Bar is located on a country road in Temple, Georgia, Paulding County, about 45 miles from Atlanta. His sign, using an ugly racial slur to attack the first black President of the United States, has generated controversy and complaints from local residents.

The local television station sent out a reporter to investigate the revolting display of racism. And of course, Patrick Lanzo a convicted sex offender, known for his race-baiting and hate mongering activities, reveled in all of the attention.

He mumbled in his Georgia drawl, something about his free speech rights and denied he was a racist. When asked about his use of an offensive racial slur Lanzo said, “Well, I’ve used it [ni**er] most of my life. There are different ways to put your opinion up, but that’s just the words I choose,” said Lanzo.

Lanzo claims he put up the sign to show his opposition to President Obama’s “sub standard health care plan.”

This is not the first time Lanzo pulled an offensive racist stunt like this. Last year he displayed a sign with the words: “A Monkey, Obama. Is there a difference?”

And again, a local television station, sent a reporter out to interview Lanzo and ask him once again, if he was a racist. And once again, Lanzo slyly grinned and mumbled incoherently about his free speech rights, denying he was a racist, while he proudly took the reporter on a tour of the many offensive images and Ku Klux Klan mementos displayed in his bar.

In 2005, Lanzo displayed a sign reading: “Is Michael Jackson not guilty because he is a ni**er or money?” Using the offensive N-word on public signs is nothing new to the media-hound bar owner.

The Georgia Peach Oyster Bar is a sick and twisted celebration of the history of racism in the South. The bar’s menus are decorated with a drawing of a Klansman in a hammock. If you look closely, you will see that the hammock is actually two lynched black men whose feet are bound together.

In the dusty corner of the bar sits a life-sized mannequin dressed in a Ku Klux Klan robe and hood. Photos of black civil rights leaders, such as Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King, share space with Klan rally photos and racist imagery from the 40s and 50s.

Lanzo’s bar and surrounding property is the frequent site for Ku Klux Klan rallies, such as the Aryan Unity Rally held there on May 18, 2002 and the “Georgia White Pride Picnic/ Rally” held last year during July 4th weekend.

Lanzo has also hosted the Hammerfest, an annual music festival of neo-Nazi skinheads.

Lanzo surrounds himself with hate and racism and he loves to flaunt it with his offensive and bigoted roadside signs.

Next year, Lanzo will erect another vile monument to hate in front of his Ku Klux Klan bar and a few more people will speak out against it. And a local TV station will send out another reporter to dutifully ask if Lanzo is a racist, and then Lanzo will grin that now all too familiar sly grin, and mumble something about his First Amendment rights and…..

The local chapter of the NAACP is growing battle-weary of Lanzo’s contemptible racist behavior, but at the same time wonder aloud why local leaders fail to condemn it and put a stop to it.

The West Metro NAACP issued this statement: “This latest ploy for attention by Mr. Lanzo is not surprising. What is of concern however, is the total lack of leadership and action from the elected officials of Paulding County, who repeatedly have allowed this type of toxic public display.”

Thats right freedom of speech and its about time we all realize the simplicity of the use of the N word.

Its true, its fact its Obamanation . And personaly I have become ashamed to be an American under this administration. A sickened country openly morning the death of a child molester such as Jackson.

The period for benifit of the doubt is over now, we must take our country back.
