Dennis, get a life. The story is about the loss of three young women who died before their time in an awful manner. You dishonor them by drawing attention away from them in such a petty way.

Dennis – Are you honestly comparing North/South Korea with North/South Dakota? Yes, it is a small error, but those two situations are not the same thing. Not by a long shot. It is a rather silly comparison, actually.

Dennis – Sometimes we have busy days and make errors. This was one of them, and I apologize. However, it actually is a relatively small error, especially considering the accurate information posted on the story itself, and in other stories related to the incident. This is indeed a truly tragic incident, and one can only imagine the terrible heartache that their families are enduring. Living in South Dakota and having raised a daughter who played college softball, I feel an extra twinge of pain over this story.

This story indeed points out another tragedy, albeit, less painful. And this is the tragedy having to do with the pathetic state of Internet “journalism”. Twice this writer – once in the headline and once in the byline – informs us that this incident occurred in South Dakota. It did not. It is well known that this happened near Dickinson, North Dakota. That’s NORTH Dakota. One can only surmise that this “journalist” is either not well informed enough to be writing such articles, or too careless to be writing such articles.

In any case, this gross error certainly reflects the sad state of reporting in today’s modern media.

To Clifford Rodque, It was dark, and you suddenly are underwater stuck in a vehicle and panic sets in , being a woman i can understand how they must have felt. My heart goes out to them and their families what a trajedy!!!

What a tragedy. Yes Clifford, you would think they would have opened the doors. However, they were in a field and could have believed it to be a large puddle. The car will float for a moment and could give that impression. So they thought they were stuck in a puddle. As it filled then it plummeted to the bottom and they would not be able to open the doors until it was entirely filled. Apparently that was to late. My heart goes out to those families.

This is a terribly tragic accident but for the life of me I can’t figure out why there was no apparent attempt to escape the vehicle after it entered the water. It would seem that three athletic girls would have been opening doors windows to get out and survive. They apparently had time to make cell phone calls , why not get the hell out of there. God what a tragedy!!
