It is unfortunate to see such direct corporate involvement in the law making process given the vested interests that the lobbyists represent. While it is understandable to not reinvent the wheel, the question has to be asked as to whether the representatives are expending the effort to understand all the consequences of using wording provided by these corporate contributors.
