Suspected cop killer Maruice Clemmons shot dead in Seattle house

(ChattahBox) — Apparently there were no Houdini escapes this time. Sheriff’s spokesman says Seattle police have fatally shot Maurice Clemmons after a two day manhunt. The only suspect in the cold-blooded shooting of four uniformed officers in Tacoma, Washington, was allegedly trapped early Monday morning, after being surrounded by police in a Seattle home. But somehow Clemmons evaded the police. The 37-year-old had been supposedly already been shot in the abdomen after one of his victims managed to draw a weapon during Sunday’s killings. More details to follow soon.
Update: Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said in a press conference, Clemmons, was shot and killed Tuesday on the street in a working class south Seattle neighborhood. A police officer on patrol first noticed a stolen vehicle with the engine idling around 2:45 a.m. PT, before spotting Clemmons, according to police. The suspect, who wasn’t in the car, wouldn’t show his hands, ran and was shot by the officer. Police say Mr. Clemmons had a gun belonging to one of the officers slain Sunday. Police have several people in custody already for providing criminal assistance to Clemmons, including a man suspected of helping him drive away from the scene of the officer shooting Sunday.
