and “I’ll believe it when I see it.” is a rational, logical, and even admirable position.

You speak of “the press” as if it were monolithic, as if it were capable of closing ranks and blocking the truth from emerging. But that’s bogus too. The birther stories have been out in public for well over a year, and they’ve gotten nowhere not because anyone blocked them but because there was no valid credible evidence to sustain them.

And that’s almost as long as you’ve been predicting the famous “OMG moment” that never seems to materialize. I know, it’s just around the corner. Again.

I don’t push the Natural Born citizen issue because it is going to take a SCOTUS decision to resolve that issue. By the time SCOTUS gets around to addressing the issue AKA Obama will have already destroyed America,

I am pushing the criminal charges against AKA Obama that are easily identified and easily prosecuted.

Because of the way AKA OBAMA ran his campaign; donations from Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, donations from illegal foreign sources, and ACORN’s crimes; More than half the voter registrations turned in by ACORN canvassers during the last election were not valid, according to testimony to be presented before a House Judiciary subcommittee, etc, AKA Obama is subject to criminal violations of the Internal Revenue Code, federal campaign finance laws, and laws against voter registration fraud, according to a memo by Cleta Mitchell, co-chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association. In spite of all this Congressional Democrats still want ACORN to be eligible for federal money.

It is remarkable that the press can find every woman that Tiger Woods has had an affair with in the last few years, complete with photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc.

The media know not only the cause of the family fight but even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that she was breaking out the windows in the Escalade. Not only that they know which wedge.

This is the same press that cannot locate Obama’s birth certificate, or any of the rest of Obama’s hidden bona fides.

You may have noticed that the usual role of the media in ferreting out high jinks in high places has not been mentioned. There is no “All The President’s Men” movie in the making. No one is being considered for a Pulitzer Prize for investigating AKA OBAMA. Is journalism dead in America? Well no, not quite.

Somebody, a major news outlet executive, has done the Pulitzer research. On his To The Point News website, Dr. Jack Wheeler said he will “Let the source of the information reveal it, in his own time. “…the details of what he told me are for him to reveal when he chooses, not me. I can tell you it is OMG wild.”

Leahy’s statement means that having two citizen parents is sufficient for natural born citizenship.

The court ruling says that having two citizen parents is not necessary for natural born citizenship.

Leahy’s statement and the court ruling are consistent, but neither implies the other.

Your claim that having two citizen parents is necessary for natural born citizenship is not supported by Leahy and contradicted by the court.

“If you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen” is true. It does not imply that *only* if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen. That’s elementary logic; if you really don’t understand or agree I’ll be happy to refer you to some good sources.

Example: If you are over 50 you are an adult. That doesn’t mean that *only* if you are over 50 you are an adult.

And it’s fascinating to me that you would parse and twist a statement from a committee meeting and give it more weight than a well reasoned, clearly stated court opinion — which, you must admit, comes to precisely the opposite conclusion from the one you’re trying to promote.

If you want to discuss “facts and logic,” you’re going to have to do a lot better than that.

At a Judiciary Committee hearing on April 3, Leahy asked Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, himself a former Federal judge, if he had doubts that McCain was eligible to serve as President.

“My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” Chertoff replied.

“That is mine, too,” said Leahy.

What’s interesting here is that Sen. Leahy, the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary, confirms that a “natural born” citizen is the child of American citizen parents.

Parents — that’s two. That’s BOTH parents.

Every time the words, “citizen” and “parent,” are used by Sen. Leahy and Sec. Chertoff, the plural case, “citizens” and “parents,” is used. The plural case is the operative case.

It is Sen. Leahy’s opinion — his own recorded words, in a formal Senate Resolution and on his U. S. Senate website — that Barack Obama is not a “natural born” citizen, and therefore not eligible to serve as Commander-in-Chief, regardless of his birthplace.
