Separation of church and state, people! What is wrong with these public servants? Don’t they know that they were elected to serve us and not to force religion down our throats? I am offended that they think they can run our country according to their religious beliefs. Many Americans are not christian and there’s no way that this country can be ruled by the teachings of the bible. We have a constitution to guide us. They should not be holding public office. They are disgusting!!

These people are not Christians. We’ve seen the quote (Matthew 6:5 I believe) in which Jesus tells his followers not to pray in public as that would be hypocritical. Today’s “Christians” have no trouble at all directly disobeying what their supposed Savior tells them to do, in this and many other ways. They’re not true Christians.

It’s hard to think of these people as truly American, either. What kind of Americans would hate the president so much that they want everything he does to fail, taking the country down with them? Isn’t than pretty much exactly what al Qaeda wants? And aren’t they our mortal enemy? republicans who echo bin Laden’s wishes for our nation simply cannot be considered as true Americans.

Well shucks, at least they are human, right? Not so fast, Abernathy. To my eyes, today’s conservatives are missing big parts of what it means to be human, specifically empathy and compassion for others and the willingness to use their (God-given?) brains for thinking instead of just emotion (mostly hate and fear). They shun facts, reality, logic, experience, science, expertise of all kinds, and of course wisdom. But these are the hallmarks of humanity! These are the very characteristics that set us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom.

Most of us, anyway.

This article is so biased and misleading, it is ridiculous. For example, James Dobson does not refer to Obama as the “Evil One”. It is obvious that the “Evil One” he refers to is Satan. He was praying for the disruption of Satan’s schemes to deny life to the unborn. Claiming that this was a reference to Obama is either ignorance or downright deception on the part of the writer.

There is an exorbitant amount of cost going into and surrounding the establishment of this bill. However these costs are only in addition to the overall cost of health care. Complete health care reform is necessary, not simply the provider care reform which we are currently awaiting. . According to Eva Mor author of (Making the Golden Years Golden), “The administration of the existing health delivery system is bloated with waste and unnecessary cost. If information was shared by all providers of health services and all insurers by using computerized systems to store all medical records, it would cut costs and reduce errors that would save and improve lives.”
Preventative care is something we need desperately in this country so the real question is going to be, how do we get it? Especially when there are so many parties who have private interests at stake in the face of reform. Health care is a public service which every American will eventually require at some point in their lives, however as it stands, health care has been diluted by bureaucracy, industry, and politics.

Congressman who would deny 35 million already-born Americans access to health insurance which could save their lives in the name of protecting life are disingenuous manipulators of public opinion or just plain dumb and mean-spirited. In either case they do not deserve to hold office.

this is the scariest thing I have ever seen in my life. The people in this video are nuts and should not be entrusted with the fate of our country. They’re wackos! What on earth are they doing? Remember that whole “separation of church and state” thing? the reason for the formation of this country was NOT to force others to be Christians…it was to find freedom OF AND FROM religion, freedom of worship. the people making the laws of this country should not be inserting their insane religious views into policy. Look, once we all realize that there is no god and that religion is just a set of rules made hundreds of years ago when people were trying to explain the universe, we’d be a whole lot better. This whole religion thing is some racket. and, all that being said, do any of these people realize that if it were up to Jesus himself, if he does exist, he would want people to be taken care of when they are sick? …hence, health care. if people wonder what jesus would do, I contest that he would want health care for all.
