LA police release new sketches of ‘Grim Sleeper’ serial killer

December 19, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Los Angeles police have released two new composite sketches of a man believed to have killed at least 11 people since 1985. The sketches use age-enhancement techniques to show how the man dubbed the “Grim Sleeper” might look today, based on a description given to police in 1988 by the only woman known to have survived an attack by the assailant. After 1988, police believe the suspect stopped killing for more than 13 years, before killing again in 2002 and 2003. He last struck on New Year’s Day 2007. All the victims, except one man, were young, black women often involved in drugs and prostitution. A half-million-dollar reward has been offered for information leading to the Grim Sleeper’s arrest.
