McCain Goes Teabagger: Obama on ‘Extreme Left-Wing Crusade’ to Destroy Country
January 7, 2010
(ChattahBox)— Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is an opportunistic politician who is well aware of the prevailing political climate of the right-wing teabagging of the Republican party. And he faces a tough primary reelection where he is polling lower than his tea party opponent former Rep. J.D. Hayworth. So, he recently started airing two campaign ads on Arizona radio stations, going all out on the extreme tea party rhetoric, where he attacks Obama as a dangerous lefty radical intent on destroying America. And the only man standing in the way of Obama’s path of destruction is John McCain. He is “afraid of no man,” says one ad in a hokey Don LaFontaine-esque voice over. Oh boy, the tea party idiocy is just beginning and we have nine long months of this until the mid-term elections.
In one of the ads, McCain invokes his prisoner-of-war experience, implying that the President Obama’s supposed radical policies and plans to destroy America are much worse than America’s wars:
“He’s lived through a battle or two. Vanquished many a foe. But perhaps no battle in our lifetime is more vital than the one John McCain fights now. The battle to save America.”
In a second ad McCain attacks Obama as a man intent on destroying America:
“President Obama is leading an extreme left-wing crusade to bankrupt America,” McCain says. “I stand in his way every day. If I get a bruise or two knocking some sense into heads in Washington, so be it. I’ll keep fighting for jobs and economic growth for Arizona, as long as I’m in the Senate.”
Both ads end with the tag line: “John McCain, he’s Arizona’s last line of defense.”
