‘Proud Racist’ Against ‘Illegals’ Wants ‘to Puke’

January 26, 2010

(ChattahBox)—A Santa Clarita, California Republican councilman spoke at a recent gathering of anti-immigration groups and did his part to ratchet up the nativist hate, referring to himself as a “proud racist,” while he blamed the “illegals” for all the ills of society, including the national deficit and small business failures. His vitriolic remarks drew criticism, as beyond the pale for an elected official.

But Bob Kellar, the very proud racist councilman makes no apologies for his hate-mongering, saying his remarks were an expression of his frustration with illegal immigration. And he assured his constituents and critics that he doesn’t hate nonwhites. “It doesn’t mean I’m going to saddle up the horses at midnight,” he said. Good to know.

Councilman Bob Kellar was invited to speak before an anti-immigration rally on Jan. 16, which was attended by several militant groups, including the Santa Clarita Valley Independent Minutemen, the Santa Clarita Tea Party and Save Our State; an organization designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group.

During his angry and heated speech, Kellar played to the teabag crowd, invoking the teapartier’s rallying call of “taking our country back.” Kellar also used the phrase of Teddy Roosevelt, “one flag one language.” According to the proud hate-monger, his anti-immigration rhetoric sets him apart as a true American:

“You know what? If we would just deal with the illegals we wouldn’t have a deficit in the state of California.” … Railing against political correctness Kellar said, “I want to puke, deal with the issue by golly.”

“We haven’t even touched on the illegal issue. It’s huge and we have got to wake up America. And I know you guys are engaged and you understand, but I’m telling you this is serious and if I sound like a radical: Thank you I consider that a compliment.”

“Teddy Roosevelt was right, “one flag one language.” I said to council members: “Folks this is important.” And you know, the only thing I heard back from a couple of people, that you sounded like a racist. I said that’s good if that’s what you happen to think I am because, I happen to believe in America. I’m a proud racist. You’re darn right I am.”

    Sue,
Your article is filled with hate.

I watched the video (thank you for posting it). He did not sound evil, bad, or racist, like I expected after reading your article. I expected to be revolted or shocked, and after watching I’m slightly revolted by the way your article attacks this human being (think before slandering someone with mellodramatic half truths). It’s called integrity and empathy for Christ’s sake.

There is no legal definition for “hate group.” Even the FBI doesn’t track “hate groups” for that reason. The SPLC hides behind the meaningless smear “hate group” because if they actually accused any of these groups of “hate crimes” they would find themselves in court for libel.

If you’re sincerely concerned about racist organizations, take a look at the top ten, highest paid officials at the SPLC and ask yourself why there is not one single minority member in the group. (http://wp.me/pCLYZ-3r)

Apparently, the last “Whites Only” sign left in Montgomery is hanging on the door of the boardroom of the SPLC. Hardly surprising though, since the SPLC was founded by a self-avowed Klan lawyer. (http://wp.me/pCLYZ-F)

And Californian was right, the video you posted completely undermined your attack on Councilman Kellar. The difference between what you wrote and what was actually said, and said in context, is embarrassing.

I notice you didn’t attack the black guy who spoke next and said he was going “…to be the best racist he could be…” Did you cut him some slack because he’s black or because his son was murdered by an illegal alien?

Selective indignation is nothing more than bigotry.

This article and it’s description of what Mr Kellar said is a perfect example of how the media and journalists has slanted and deceived the public. They’ve done it so long now that they feel no concerns about the length they can and will go to prevent the truth from being told or even discussed. I won’t even talk to the media anymore when asked for a statement or interview. It’s just not worth it, because they refuse to tell the truth. And when I say refuse to tell the truth, that is exactly what I mean.

The public is finally getting wise to it and they’ve stopped buying newspapers. They’ve stopped listening to NBC, CBS and ABC including their cable news. They’re listening to Fox or getting their information of the internet where people are describing what is happening first hand. They main steam media doesn’t have a monopoly on information anymore.

The writer of this article is a perfect example of the deceit being written by journalists today. It’s so close to lying, that the only word to describe it is deceitful.
