Suspected Serial Killer To Show Dating Video To Courts

February 9, 2010

US (ChattahBox) – A suspected serial killer who is accused in the deaths of three women and a little girl in the 1970’s has taken on his own defense. Part of that defense will be a video from the old game show ‘Dating Game’.

Rodney Alcala is accused of raping, beating, and strangling three women and one 12-year-old girl in the late 1977 – 1979.

His DNA has found in three victims, with the same pattern of vicious attack in each murder.

Alcala has taken the stand as a witness in his own defense in an attempt to show the court that he had a pair of earrings that police say belonged to Robin Samsoe, his 12-year-old victim, before her death.

The video, which shows him as the winning contestant in a 1978 taping of ‘Dating Game’ allegedly shows him wearing one of the gold ball earrings.

Alcala was arrested in 2003 when DNA proved that it was his semen in three of four of the victims.

There was no DNA found on Samsoe, though she had been sexually assaulted, due to her body being ravaged by wild animals at the scene.
