GOP Rep Steve King’s Enemies List: Liberals, Maoists, Trotskyites

February 20, 2010

(ChattahBox)—U.S. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), the extreme right-wing lawmaker who is always on the lookout for nefarious Socialist conspiracies, involving President Obama and the community organization ACORN, spoke before the CPAC convention on Friday citing a Republican enemies list. Quoting the ancient Chinese general Sun Tzu, saying “know thine enemy,” King started ticking off a list of political radicals, including Trotskyites, Maoists and Stalinists, suggesting that President Obama was part of such a dangerous group.

King is perhaps one of the more clownish and dim-witted members of Congress. During his speech he warned the crowd of conservatives to be aware of what Republicans are “up against” with the Obama administration:

“Now who are we — and I want to define that enemy,” said King. “They are: liberals; they are progressives; they are Che Guevareans, they are Castroites, they’re socialists. More enemies on this list: Gramsciites — ring anybody’s bell? — Trotskyites, Maoists, Stalinists, Leninists, Marxists. They’re all our enemies.”

King then grinned and asked the crowd, Who did I leave Out? Several people in the crowd shouted out Obama. “I think I heard that—-How about I go to Democratic Socialists, said King.
