Shooting At Ohio State University Leaves Several Dead Or Injured
March 9, 2010
Ohio (ChattahBox) – A custodian who was given a bad performance review opened fire at the maintenance building on campus today, killing one manager, injuring an employee, and then killing himself.
Nathaniel Brown was a 51-year-old probational employee who began working at the campus in October, and had gotten a bad review on his performance at work.
He is alleged to have walked into the building with two handguns and opened fire.
Larry Wallington, a 48-year-old building services manager, was killed instantly.
Henry Butler, a 60-year-old shift manager, was wounded but is in stable condition.
Brown appears to have shot himself prior to police arriving, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The shooting is eerily similar to that of Amy Bishop, who shot several colleagues at the University of Alabama after being denied tenure last month.
