Four Dead, Ten Injured In D.C. Shooting
March 31, 2010
Washington D.C. (ChattahBox) – Four people have been killed and ten injured after a shooting outside of a southern D.C. apartment building.
The people shot were sitting outside talking, and all were in their 20′s and 30′s, except for one teenager whose age has not been released.
The genders of the four killed are unknown, but the injured contained seven males and three females.
Four police officers were also injured in a crash following the shootings, when the suspects were being pursued, though none were serious.
There are three men currently in custody, including one who is the suspect of another murder last week, 20-year-old Jordan Howe.
The suspect was named Sanquan Carter in an article by The Washington Post, a 19-year-old D.C. resident.
According to WJLA, police were trying to get an arrest warrant but prosecutors refused to sign for it.
Several of the victims of the current shooting had been at Howe’s funeral, and it is believed to be connected.
No motive has been released, but police believe it may possibly have been gang related.
