(Video) Sen. Vitter’s Forgotten Prositution Scandal
April 29, 2010
(ChattahBox)—Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), is perhaps one of the worst hypocritical Republican “family values” politicians in the U.S. Congress. And that’s saying a lot. Two-years ago, it was revealed that he was a frequent customer of the D.C. Madam prostitution ring. And numerous allegations surfaced of his patronizing high-priced brothels in new Orleans, for years. He issued the standard apology, admitting to a “serious sin” in a public news conference with his suffering wife by his side. Ironically, Vitter became elected to the House, after a Louisiana Congressman resigned over an adultery scandal. Later, Vitter was quick to call for former President Bill Clinton’s resignation in the wake of the Lewinsky scandal. Has Vitter resigned, or suffered any consequences from his hiring of illegal prostitutes? No, he has remained in office, retained all of his committee assignments and he is even running for reelection. So, the Louisiana Democratic Party thought it prudent to remind voters about Vitter the “Lawmaker-Lawbreaker.”
The Louisiana Democratic Party made an ad, entitled “Forgotten Crimes,” with an eye-popping black and white “crime scene enactment” of Vitter’s visit to a $300 an hour prostitute. The voice over says: “Coming soon on ‘Forgotten Crimes,’ a prominent Louisiana politician caught up with prostitution scandals in Washington, DC and New Orleans held accountable by no one. Now, Louisianans are speaking out.
