Killer Gets 27 To Life In Celebrity Realtor’s Murder
May 3, 2010
New York (ChattahBox) – The former personal assistant to Linda Stein (shown), a real estate agent that was well known for finding homes for celebrities, has been sentenced to 27 years to life in her brutal murder.
Natavia Lowery had worked for Stein for four months prior to the murder in 2007.
Police say that she stole thousands of dollars from Stein, then beat her to death in her Park Avenue apartment with a yoga stick.
“I toss and turn, unable to sleep because of the vivid imagery of my dead mother,” Mandy Stein, the daughter of the victim and finder of the body, said at the sentencing in a court statement.
“Natavia, there’s so much I want to say to you but cannot say in this courtroom. I’m a lady,” Samantha Stein-Wells, her older daughter, said.
“Where is your apology? You can’t even look me in the eye. Natavia, you know the truth. You will forever live the legacy of a murderer and a thief.”
Lowery maintains her innocence.
“The fight has just begun. My innocence will continuously remain as it did since October 30, 2007. This case was turned into a media circus, it was never about evidence.”
