Police Look For Money Trasporter In NYC Attempted Bomb Case
May 7, 2010
Officials traveled to Pakistan this week to talk to four suspected Taliban militants who they believe may have some information about where the financial support for the crude propane-gas SUV bomb may have come from, and who may have played the middle man between the terrorist group and Faisal Shahzad.
Many questioned if the would-be bomber had any actual ties to the Taliban, and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik had his doubts, saying that he wanted proof that his accomplices were actually militants.
But officials have confirmed this morning that there are, indeed, ties to TTP, a Pakistani branch of the Taliban.
