Boston Home Raided For Possible Time Square Connections

May 13, 2010

Massachusetts (ChattahBox) – A home and a gas station have been raided by FBI agents, and two people have been arrested in connection to the failed Time Square bombing.

The two are believed to possible be connected to the attempted attack by Faisal Shahzad, possibly the couriers that were being sought as providing the funds from overseas that Shahzad used to purchase materials for the SUV bomb.

FBI surrounded a house Watertown, and upon entering arrested a man.

“I was surprised to see this because this is what you see on TV,” Vinny Lacerra, a neighbor who witnessed the raid from across the street, said.

According to him, at least 20 agents surrounded the house with guns drawn and called the suspect out. When he did not respond, they stormed the house and brought him out in handcuffs 15-minutes later.

Agents also raided a Mobil gas station, taking a car that was registered under the address of the house, and arresting another suspect.

An FBI spokesperson said that the arrests were due to their possible participation of the Time Square incident, and not a pending threat against the U.S.
