The Video of Gushing Oil BP Didn’t Want You to See

May 13, 2010

(ChattahBox)— for nearly a month, BP Oil has refused to release even a still photo of the the oil leak disaster gushing deep below the once-pristine waters and fisheries of the Gulf Coast. Finally, the oil firm responsible for one of the worst ecological disasters in our lifetime, has released an underwater video of the oil leak and it’s shocking.

Amid intense pressure from the Obama administration and media outlets, BP released a 30-second clip of the oil leaking into the Gulf that was recorded on May 11. Additionally, through the U.S. Coast Guard, a second video was released to the public showing the capping of one of the three leaks, by an underwater robotic device. The capping did not reduce the volume of the leaking oil, which has now resulted in dead dolphins, sea turtles, brown pelicans and assorted fish washing up on shore.

BP has an entire library of videos depicting the oil leak, which it still has not released to the public nor to interested scientists, as the crude oil continues to poison the Gulf and with BP quickly running out of solutions to stem the disastrous leak.
