Updates In Case Of Missing Mom, Estranged Husband Arrested
May 14, 2010
Washington (ChattahBox) – Police are looking into new leads in the case of Rachel Anderson, a forty-year-old mother of three who went missing in April.
Rachel has been missing since April 16, and she had been reporting strange messages and texts that said she was being watched. She went to police several times, fearing for her safety.
Now, police have arrested her former husband, Charles Capone, for unrelated charges as they investigate his possible involvement in her disappearance.
According to authorities, Capone is a violent man and former convict who has a long rap sheet of violent offenses.
It is believed that he was abusive to Rachel in the past, and that before the end of their marriage recently, he attempted to isolate her from her family and threatened her.
Her daughter believes Capone may have been somehow involved in the text messages, and she fears that he was behind the apparent abduction of her mother.
He has not been named an official suspect yet, but he is being held for illegal possessing firearms, and several other minor charges related to parole violations.
Because he has two fugitive warrants, failure to appear in court, and a connection to a missing victim, they are seeking to hold him without bail as a flight risk.
He is being called a ‘person of interest’, and court documents show that during the January divorce filing, Rachel claims Capone beat and strangled her, along other abuses.
They were married just three months.
