The problem with the complaints is not the mural it’s self but what it represents.sir, you are ignorant to the fact that there is diversity in the “white town” of Prescott. That is childish thinking considering that we have African Americans and Hispanics holding positions in office, that are soilders, who care and are making a difference in this world. We,people of color, are just as hard working and deserve the respect as the next race. You open your mouth not for the town of Prescott, but you open your big mouth cuz in your heart and mind, your afraid. Your afraid cuz for the first time in your life, things are not going the “white” way. Not sure what the mural represents?? Allow me to enlighten you in one word: equal. I’m a strong hispanic mother Mr. Blair, born in Arizona, who will continue to fight and stand up to people like you. Trust me and mark my word sir, theirs plenty more like me.

U are as ignorant as they come u need to understand there r not only white people in this world there r different races out there. u sir need to understand this is a new world racist people like u need to be put on an island n get treated with disrespect the way u did with that mural. get use to the fact that now we do have a black president n there r more African american n Latinos who r coming up in this world we are the ones who risk our lives every day at war n at work we are the ones who actually have a heart n except any one in to our hearts n lives no matter what race they are. why dont u open eyes n see what is going on in todays world and see that we are not going any where sorry that this isn’t the time when us minorities could do anything and had to subject our selves to racist pricks like you. It’s a new world get use to it

Dear Cactus Jack, there is a reason you placed a distant third in the last mayoral election, now please SHUT THE &^%@ UP! I’m with Steve. The thing is an eye sore and I hope some stupid little gang banger tags it soon. That, or they should add one of those little Chi-Com Maoist hats to the boy in the middle.

Hurling epitaphs? Ouch! Tombstones are usually quite heavy.

a football (soccer) team in england were having work carried out on their ground a few years back and erected a plywood hoarding at the end of the ground on which they painted approx 8000 faces.on later inspection not one black face was found there, when in fact over 50% of the team were black and the same percentage of the local population .talking about lead ballons

For heaven’s sake, get a grip.

This was an idiotic series of remarks by a boneheaded politician and local talk host. Who was quickly fired by the radio station and will likely have to resign from the city council soon. What else would you like to have happen?

Whatever else one thinks of what’s going on in Arizona, there is no need to get so freaked out about this ridiculous incident. He’s off the radio, and he will be out of the council soon, and nobody will be sorry to see him go.

One would think Prescott residents were marching in the streets in support of Blair from the tone of this column, but nobody’s defending him at all that I’m aware of (indeed, it’s indefensible). So geeze — calm down.

“All Men are created equal”! The founders had it right, when attempting to form a perfect union and they also knew that they were not there yet but knew we one day would get there. Lincoln moved us forward as did JFK and LBJ. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.

It is my contention that this AZ law is not constitutional and will fail when challenged (unless, of course, they keep adding more amendments), pretty funny for this so called perfect law, that many internet blogs claim it was copied “Word for Word” from the Federal law, which I frankly do not believe, if it was then no amendments would have been made, right?, of course.

As for the undocumented workers, as was attributed to Ronald Reagan “It’s the Economy, Stupid”. When the economy is good we say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. This too will pass. The real problem is the narcos, arms and people smugglers and that’s what the focus should be on.

Don’t you find it funny that no one ever voted for Brewer for Governor, it’s all about politics and getting elected, do not be fooled. Busy Brewer has passed S.B. 1070, no permit conceal weapons law, the famous Birthers law, banning Ethic studies law, (could she be behind the Mural in Prescott, Arizona) and if history is a lesson she should look up Arizona’s House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which failed when legally challenged) and the craziest one the boycotted Martin Luther King Day, not wanting another holiday, how crazy is that. I believe there is an undercurrent to their enactment of new laws, they real love following a distinct pattern. Poor Brewer, last week, she first she said her Dad had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (war ended 1945) and we find out her father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955 (watch the spin doctors go into overdrive) and then she went to Washington and came back empty as always, poor dear.
