GOP Jewish Group Fetes Birther Queen Orly Taitz
June 7, 2010
(ChattahBox)—Apparently birther conspiracy kookiness has gone mainstream in Republican circles. Birther Queen, lawyer-dentist Orly Taitz was feted by the Republican Jewish Coalition as a special guest over the weekend. Taitz, who was recently hit with a $20,000 fine by a federal judge in Georgia for her “frivolous and sanctionable” birther suit, which “borders on delusional,” is running for secretary of state in California.
Taitz spends her days filing “delusional” lawsuits to prove that “the de facto President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama,” is an illegal alien, when she isn’t practicing dentistry.
On her website, described as the “World’s Leading Obama Eligibility Challenge Web Site,” Taitz boasts about her invite to the Republican Jewish Coalition’s “annual summer bash” at the swanky Beverly Hills Hilton. The event touted Republican operative Karl Rove, as the featured speaker, along with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN). And Taitz mingled with other “special guests,” including Republican senatorial candidate Carly Fiorina, former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN), Reps. Connie Mack (R-FL), Mary Bono Mack (R-CA) and right-wing actor Jon Voight.
Is this a sign that extremist birther conspiracy theorist Taitz is now being embraced by the Republican establishment? If so, what’s next, flying saucers and microchips implanted in our brains?
