Fake Political Ad Mocks Candidates’ ‘Sociopathic Narcissim’

June 26, 2010

(ChattahBox)—This year’s political ads heading into the mid-term elections have provided us with unintentional hilarity. Case in point: Alabaman Dale Peterson’s campaign ads, astride a horse, sporting a ten-gallon cowboy hat and equipped with a Winchester rifle. But IFC’s wacky team of the “Whitest Kids U’ Know,” has outdone even Dale Peterson’s comic stylings, with their mocking take on a a political candidate displaying typical “sociopathic narcissism.”

The “Whitest Kids U’ Know,” Clint Webb for Senate ad takes aim at the vapid shallowness of career politicians:

Fictional candidate Clint Webb tells us he has been preparing to be a senator since he was a child:

“For the past 15 years I have lived my life in such a bland uncontroversial and repressed manner that’s it’s almost unnatural Why? because I’ve been preparing to be your representative since I was a child”

But his life-long quest for office has not been without consequences–of the psychiatric kind:

“I possess a sociopathic narcissism that makes me think that I should be in charge of everyone” […]

“Together we can piggyback some of our state’s legitimate needs onto my unquenchable lust for glorification.” […]

“All of my motives are ulterior. I’m self involved to the point of psychosis. My soul is terrifying. And that’s leadership,” says Clint Webb.
