Alvin Greene Video Seeks Vote to Defeat ‘Bad Man’ DeMint (Video)
July 23, 2010
(ChattahBox)–A catchy hip-hip video supporting Alvin Greene’s quixotic senatorial campaign to unseat Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), was first believed to be an actual self-produced Greene campaign spot, with his dad listed in the credits as cameraman. But that’s not the case. The video, entitled “Alvin Green Is On the Scene,” was produced by Jay Friedman and a San Francisco-based production company, WeGotSplashers. Nevertheless, Greene is running with it, telling The New York Times “That’s a hit video isn’t it?,” adding “it’s good enough to pass on.”
The 3-minute hip-hop mix shows repeated images of NBA superstar LeBron James as the lines, “when I say Alvin, you say Greene, Alvin Greene for senator,” are intermixed throughout the video.
At one point, racist tea party signs are shown with the lines, “He’s got some ideas that will fix the state, so open up your minds and stop the hate.”
When his Republican opponent Sen. DeMint is shown, the phrase, “What a Bad Man” is emblazoned across his photo. The accompanying lyrics indicate Greene has a chance of defeating the “bad man.”
“November’s coming, it’s time to choose, and Jim DeMint should be ready to lose!”
Honestly, even Alvin Greene would be a better choice than the tea party extremist “Waterloo” DeMint.
