Three More Bodies Found In Panama Resort Serial Killings
August 6, 2010
Panama (ChattahBox) – An American man who is accused of being a number of murders at a Panama hostel has led authorities to three more bodies, two adults and a small child, who he claims were a family he killed three years ago, the Huffington Post reports.
William Dathan Holbert said that three were Mike Brown, his unnamed wife, and their small son, who he says he killed before robbing them at the hostel he owned in Panama.
Previously, two others were found: Cheryl Lynn Hughes of Missouri, who was reported missing 10 years ago, and Bo Icelar of New Mexico, who was reported missing in November of last year.
The discovery of the first two bodies set off the search for Holbert and his wife, Laura Michelle Reese, who has also been charged with the murders. But authorities say that Holbert divorced her and disappeared six years ago, continuing to kill as he evaded police using aliases, and selling off the possessions of those he murdered.
He is accused of selling a house and car of one of his victims, and there is some speculation that there could be several other victims over the course of the last several years.
