Glenn Beck Thinks He is a Better Author Than Stephen King? (VIDEO)

August 7, 2010

(ChattahBox) – Talk about delusions of grandeur. Bill O’Reilly had his Fox buddy Glenn Beck on his show last night, and asked him about author Stephen King’s comments in his Entertainment Weekly column that Beck is like an “urban nut cake,” in the honesty of his perceived insanity, and a crazy person who believes that the world is going to end.

Beck was pretty happy to have been called honest, but actually countered that perhaps King is jealous of the success of his recent thriller, “The Overton Window,” saying: “He’s the guy that usually, when I release my books at the same time, he’s number 2.”
Beck and King both have bestselling books, but among the many differences Glenn give or take a ghostwriter or two does his best writing on a chalk board and is merely a fear monger. While Stephen will be remembered as one of the great writers of his time who actually really authors his often scary books.

Glenn did get a nice dig in on Bill in the segment saying to O’Reilly: “I appreciate that, Stephen. Stephen King is the guy who called me Satan’s younger brother. And if I’m not mistaken, called Bill O’Reilly Satan’s mentally challenged older brother.” O’Reilly responds : You would come off better.

Well, there is one thing they have in common: Both of them write fiction. Beck, of course, claims that most of his writing is non-fiction but anyone with a working brain can see that’s it’s all paranoid fantasy.
