New York (ChattahBox) – A Harlem man is in the hospital after surviving 21 gun shots from police during a shootout, a number which the local pathologist claims could be a record.

Angel Alvarez, a 23-year-old Harlem resident, allegedly shot and killed Luis Soto in an unreleased conflict. After this murder, it is believed that he got into a shootout with local police, who showered him with bullets when he refused to put down his gun.

He was shot 21 times, though his attorney claims they pulled 23 slugs from his body. Despite this, he was sent to the hospital in pain, but very much alive.

“That’s ridiculous. In the arms, legs, abdomen, jaw. … He’s doing all right. He’s talking,” his sister Kimberley Creer told the NY Daily News.

While there is still some risk of infection, he is expected to be fine. All major arteries were avoided during the shots, making him a very lucky man. Or, lucky enough, considering he will likely be spending his recovery in prison as he awaits a murder trial.

    Proofread. Proofread. Proofread.

One assumes that it is an “unrelated” conflict.”Unreleased” makes no since in this context.

And apparently “shootout with local police, so showered him with bullets” should read “shootout with local police, who showered him with bullets.

I’d like to see Chattahbox taken seriously as a news outlet. Even Faux News proofreads their posts (for grammar and syntax, obviously not for facts).

And I even managed to miss “since” where I meant “sense.” I think there’s a rule about that.

Dotes – Unreleased by police…they have not released the details about the conflict. It sounds a little strange to you, but within context I don’t believe it is actually incorrect, as I didn’t mean to say ‘unrelated’. I have no idea what it was related to, and them shooting him was very much related, I should think.

I will give you the showered, however. It was meant to be ‘who’.
