Plane Crash in Alaska Kills 5, Senator and Nasa Head Among Passengers

August 10, 2010

(Chattahbox) -  A plane that crashed in Alaska Monday night was carrying 9 people, among them former senator Ted Stevens and ex-NASA head Sean O’Keefe.  There has been no information about whether Stevens and O’Keefe were among the 4 survivors.

Update: According to The Stratton Post, inside sources are saying that former senator Stevens was indeed killed in the plane crash.

The plane was heading to a fishing lodge when it crashed approximately 320 miles north of anchorage.  The Stevens family offered their prayers for the families on board and expressed thanks for the support they had received, but did not release whether the former senator was still alive.

The N.T.S.B is sending a squad to investigate the crash.  Stevens the iconic Alaskan lawmaker who funneled billions of federal dollars to his home state, served more time in the U.S. Senate than any Republican in history, before losing in re-election in 2008.
