Burn a Koran Parody Video: Monster Truck Rally, Zombies
September 8, 2010
(ChattahBox US News)—Talented voice-over actor Lance Baxter, known professionally as D.C. Douglas, produced a brilliant mocking parody video of the lunatic Gainesville, Fla. pastor’s plans to burn copies of the Koran on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The anti-Islam hatemonger, tapping in to a new wave of Islamophobia incited by Fox News and the right-wing, is using the incendiary burning of the Islamic Holy Book to gain media attention for his tiny fundamentalist church. And Pastor Terry Jones doesn’t care that our troops would be endangered by his actions. So, besides ignoring this backwoods kook, D.C. Douglas decided to use humor to condemn the radical pastor of hate.
D.C. Douglas’ over-the-top parody video, is a mock commercial for the International Burn A Koran Day, produced to resemble an ad for a Monster Truck Rally.
The brilliant voice-over also announces a Christian Cannibal supper for salvation, complete with zombies.
You may recall D.C. Douglas from his unfortunate run in with Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks. After becoming outraged at the bigoted and racist behavior of tea party protesters directed towards U.S. lawmakers, during passage of the healthcare reform bill, Douglas made the mistake of drunk dialing the office of FreedomWorks, leaving a message with his home telephone number, suggesting the group’s members were “mentally retarded.”
After Andrew Brietbart posted the phone message on his website, Douglas was fired from his Geico voice-over gig.
