Ohio Pol Terrifies With Maniacal Campaign Speech (Video)

(ChattahBox Political News)—For political junkies, there is no greater time than the primary campaign season leading up to national elections. If you have not been paying much attention to the small-time local elections, then you are missing out–especially in Stark County Ohio. A man seeking the Republican nomination for County Treasurer, unleashed an unhinged speech shouted in a maniacal frenzy, as he fidgeted and roamed the length of the stage, his voice cracking at times, as he read from his prepared remarks, spitting out gems, like “Drastic times require drastic measures.”
Councilman Phil Davison of Minerva, Ohio appeared before the Stark County Republican Party’s executive committee last night and delivered a performance that could have come straight from a skit on Saturday Night live.
He started off listing his impressive credentials, one of them being a Masters in Communication.
A few highlights from Davison’s off-meds speech:
“I will not apologize for my tone tonight.”
“Politics is not touch football. Politics is winner takes all.”
“I’m coming, both barrels, guns loaded.”
And the winner:
“I can guarantee with 100 percent certainty that what you are seeing from me tonight, is what everyone outside those doors is going to get from me for the next 8 weeks.”
And that is exactly what the executive committee was afraid of.
Davison did not receive the nomination.
