New Body Found In Series Of Murders By Now Dead Suspect

September 12, 2010

California (ChattahBox Crime News) – The body of a 35-year-old man has been found wrapped in plastic and shoved in a closet, continuing a bizarre series of murders that ended when the suspect was killed in a shootout by police.

Frederick Sales was found dead in the same house as his father, Ricardo Sales, who was found a week earlier bludgeoned to death after a confrontation with Efren Valdemoro.

Valdemoro was also tied to two elderly women who were murdered earlier in August, and whose bodies were found in a house believed to have been inhabited by the suspect. Police also found explosives, and later found the body of his girlfriend, Cindy Tran, in the trunk of his car.

On August 31 Valdemoro was in a chase with California Highway Patrol and was killed during a shootout following it. It is not known if he was responsible for any more deaths, but police are continuing to investigate.
