Dems Launch Anti-Boehner ‘Job Hating John’ Ad (Video)

September 13, 2010

(ChattahBox Political News)—With Labor Day behind us and Congress back in session, the mid-term election season is in full swing. Part of the Democratic campaign strategy, is to educate voters about what to expect if the GOP takes over control of the House, with Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) at the helm as speaker. President Obama has taken aim at Boehner’s coziness with corporate lobbyists and his support for tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. Today, the Democratic National Committee launched a new campaign ad aimed directly at Boehner’s support for big corporations that ship jobs overseas, as opposed to middle-class Americans working as police officers, firefighters and teachers. The DNC has dubbed Boehner “Job Hating John.”

The ad points out that unlike other Republicans, Boehner does have a plan for the economy. What is it? Putting firefighters, school teachers and policemen out of work, while rewarding corporations for shipping America’s jobs overseas.

The ending tag line reads: “So to China and India and Mexico, Boehner has a message: ‘you’re welcome.’”
