Paladino Blasts ‘Extreme’ Gay Paraders Wearing ‘Bikini Type Outfits Grinding at Each Other’ (Video)

(ChattahBox Political News)—-Carl Paladino, the controversial tea party-backed Republican gubernatorial candidate from Buffalo, New York is mad as hell at gays now, particularly attendees at Gay Pride parades clad in “bikini type outfits grinding at each other…” The unhinged millionaire businessman, who just recently threatened to “take out” a reporter and lobbed unsubstantiated charges of adultery towards his opponent Andrew Cuomo, is taking heat for his bigoted anti-gay speech at a Brooklyn Synagogue on Sunday. Paladino, said he didn’t want America’s children “brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality” is acceptable. Cuomo’s camp responded with a statement slamming Paladino’s remarks, as “stunning homophobia.”
Amid the media furor, Paladino tried to temper his bigotry during an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday. But he only managed to add fuel to the fire, by again attacking Cuomo for attending a Gay Pride parade, saying that the X-Rated “extreme” events are not fit for children. Oh, and Carl has a gay nephew, so he’s not a homophobe, in case you were wondering, he’s just a Catholic.
During Paladino’s speech before a group of Orthodox Jews, he suggested homosexuality was a choice and he pledged to block gay marriage legislation.
“I just think my children and your children would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family, and I don’t want them brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option–it isn’t.”
An angry Paladino also knocked the New York State Attorney General Cuomo for attending a Gay Pride parade.
“I didn’t march in the gay parade this year — the gay pride parade this year. My opponent did, and that’s not the example we should be showing our children.”
A line in his written prepared remarks, that Paladino didn’t use, calling homosexuality “dysfunctional” is also receiving lots of negative media attention, but Paladino repudiated it on GMA this morning, blaming its inclusion on a staffer.
Cuomo condemned Paladino’s speech for its blatant homophobia.
“Mr. Paladino’s statement displays a stunning homophobia and a glaring disregard for basic equality,” it said. “These comments along with other views he has espoused make it clear that he is way out of the mainstream and is unfit to represent New York.”
When asked by George Stephanopoulos if he was being insensitive in making his anti-gay comments, just days after a shocking anti-gay hate crime took place in New York City, Paladino said No, he’s just a Catholic.
“No, I think my comments were directed at just the confusion that people have had over this issue. I wanted to clearly distinguish that my feelings about homosexuality were no different than those of the Catholic Church. I’m a Catholic. 7.5 million Catholics in the state of New York. I wanted to make it clear what my position was and I think I clearly defined it,” he said.
And Paladino acknowledged he believes homosexuality is more of a lifestyle choice.
“I’ve had difficulty with that. My nephew tells me he didn’t have that choice. And I believe it’s a very, very difficult life for a young person,” Carl Paladino told me. “I believe that young people should not necessarily be exposed to that without some really, really mature background first before, so they can learn to deal with it. It is a very difficult thing. And I sensitize with it totally.”
In other words, if you are an angry Catholic “I’ll take you out buddy,” kind of guy like Carl, you wouldn’t be gay. You would just be a bigoted extremist loudmouth who cheated on his wife and had a secret child with his mistress.
And about those Gay Pride parades. According to Carl, he and his wife happened by a gay parade in Toledo once and he was sickened by it.
“It wasn’t pretty. It was a bunch of very extreme type people in bikini type outfits grinding at each other and doing these gyrations. And I certainly wouldn’t let my young children see that.
But blatantly racist emails attacking President Obama and the First Lady, as well as pornographic emails depicting bestiality, sent to his friends and associates, is just perfectly fine in Carl’s view.
