WTF Has Obama Done Vs. Palin’s Chirping Crickets (Video)
November 10, 2010
(ChattahBox Political News)—What has President Obama done for you so far? Quite a lot actually. And three young people with an idea and web development skills created a website to remind Americans of Obama’s many legislative achievements, made during just the first two years of his presidency. The website, named to be sure it caught our attention, is called “What The Fuck Has Obama Done So Far?” It cycles through many of Obama’s accomplishments, with humorous responses, such as “Big fucking deal. What else?” and “That’s cool, I guess. What else you got?” The site has already received over four million hits and the three creators appeared on MSNBC’s The Last Word, hosted by Lawrence O’Donnell. But hilariously, a copycat website has popped up to highlight Sarah Palin’s many accomplishments. What the fuck has Sarah Palin done so far? The answer is crickets, lots and lots of chirping crickets.
While cycling through the list of what President Obama has done, it’s striking how many seemingly small executive decisions and measures that received little media attention, have had a real and positive impact on the lives of everyday Americans.
Below is a sampling of What The Fuck Obama Has Done So Far.
Significantly expanded Pell grants, which help low-income students pay for college.
Tax cuts for up to 3.5 million small businesses to help pay for employee health care coverage.
Established Credit Card Bill of Rights, preventing credit card companies from imposing arbitrary rate increases on customers.
Signed the Children’s Health Insurance Reauthorization Act, which provides health care to 11 million kids — 4 million of whom were previously uninsured.
Provided travel expenses to families of fallen soldiers to be on hand when the body arrives at Dover AFB.
Meanwhile over at “What the Fuck Has Palin Done So Far?” created as a response to “them librals who put up” “What The Fuck Has Obama Done So Far?” there is a blank page and the sound of crickets. That seems appropriate for a former half-term governor of Alaska and a reality TV show star.
The Obama website was the brainchild of Shavanna Miller and was created by Richard Boenigk and Will Carlough
Boenigk’s Twitter page links to the Palin crickets website with the message, “I’m not sure who did this, but seriously: well played.” Indeed.
