Tea Party Queen Michele Bachmann for President of the Deranged
January 5, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—The deranged unhinged right-wing ideologue Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has higher aspirations beyond serving, as a GOP tea party buffoon, often seen on Fox News and heard on conservative talk radio spouting off bizarre extremist nonsense. ABC News is reporting the mad as a hatter lawmaker, who once urged her constituents to “slit our wrists, be blood brothers” in opposing health care reform, is considering a run for president. You might be wondering, president of what exactly. President of the United States of America. That’s right, the wacky teapartier, who is currently promoting an online petition to shut down the federal government and throw our nation into default, wants to be the leader of the free world. Maybe all of those dead blackbirds falling from the sky know something we don’t know. The apocalypse may indeed be near.
Think of Michele Bachmann as a crazier version of Sarah Palin, and you immediately realize how utterly insane and self-deluded this woman is.
ABC News writes:
“Forget the fervent chatter speculating that Tea Party favorite Rep. Michele Bachmann is considering launching a campaign to challenge Sen. Amy Klobuchar for the Minnesota U.S. Senate seat in the next national election cycle. Think bigger”
“ABC News has learned that Bachmann, R-Minn., also is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012″
“A source close to the three-term congresswoman said Bachmann will travel to Iowa this month for multiple meetings to seek advice from political forces there and party elders close to the caucus process before coming to a final decision regarding a potential presidential run. Bachmann, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, also is set to deliver a keynote speech at an Iowans for Tax Relief PAC fundraiser Jan. 21 in Des Moines, Iowa.”
When Bachmann’s chief staff was asked about her 2012 presidential aspirations, he acknowledged that it was a possibility.
‘”Nothing is off the table,” Bachmann chief of staff Andy Parrish told ABC News when asked whether the Iowa trip signaled Bachmann’s intent to run for president. “The congresswoman is excited about her first trip to Iowa this year.’
Really, what is there to say? After the mid-term elections Bachmann campaigned for a leadership spot in Congress, but Republican leaders quickly dissuaded the loony Congresswoman from harboring such absurd ambitions.
Washington Monthly’s Steve Benen said it best:
“Shortly after the midterm elections, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) launched a campaign to become the new House Republican Conference Chair. GOP leaders, who tend to find Bachmann rather embarrassing, quietly crushed her bid, and ensured she wouldn’t join the congressional leadership.”
“One wonders, then, how they’d feel about a much bigger promotion for the deranged Minnesota Republican.”
