Limbaugh’s Malice: Tucson Shooter Has ‘Full Support’ of Dems
January 11, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—In the wake of the Tucson massacre, vile blowhard Rush Limbaugh has gone on the attack against Democrats and Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, spewing out a stream of venomous bile that is even more despicable than his usual lies, hate and race-baiting. Why is the hate talker so worked up? Because we are having a national conversation about toning down the right-wing’s extremist vitriolic rhetoric, use of violent gun imagery, the promotion of paranoid apocalyptic conspiracies and the demonization of opponents that has dominated our political discourse, since the election of President Barack Obama. Limbaugh reacted with rage, accusing the Democrats of using the mass murder of six people for political gain. And today, he charged that the Democratic Party is offering its “full support” to mass murderer Jared Lee Loughner to make sure he gets away with his crimes.
Limbaugh made his offensive remarks during Tuesday’s radio program, while he was commenting on the creepy smiling mugshot of Loughner. Limbaugh said the mentally unstable man who shot Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) in the head, leaving her fighting for her life, is happy because he knows the Democrats have his back.
LIMBAUGH: What Mr. Loughner knows is that he has the full support of a major political party in this country. He’s sitting there in jail. He knows what’s going on, he knows that a Democrat (sic) Party, the Democrat (sic) Party is attempting to find anybody but him to blame. He knows if he plays his cards right, he’s just a victim. He’s the latest in a never-ending parade of victims brought about by the unfairness of America. The ‘bigotry, racism, homophobia’ of America. The ‘mean-spiritedness of America.’ [...]
LIMBAUGH: That smiling mugshot –This guy clearly understands he’s getting all the attention and he understands he’s got a political party doing everything it can, plus a local sheriff doing everything that they can to make sure he’s not convicted of murder – but something lesser.”
Limbaugh’s remarks are vicious and absurd. And our country would be a much better place without his daily dose of incendiary poison.
