Scarborough’s War of Words with Glenn Beck Heats Up (Video)

January 13, 2011

(ChattahBox U.S. News)— Joe Scarborough and Glenn Beck threw down on Tuesday, engaging in a verbal volley that got uglier as the day progressed, Huffington Post reports. Scarborough began the conversation by saying on his “Morning Joe” program that many of his family members, including his own mother, watch Beck’s program and have begun to believe the conservative host when he warns viewers to distrust President Obama.

Scarborough said that Beck repeatedly delivers the “vile message” that Obama wants to destroy the U.S., Huffington Post noted. In addition, Scarborough said Beck was a “nobody” before Fox News hired him, and that if Fox let him go, Beck would “go back to the Glenn Beck he was before.”

Beck and his radio sidekicks defended Beck’s rhetoric, with co-host Pat Gray yelling, “You moron Joe, there’s a reason that everyone you know listens to and watches Glenn’s show, including your mom and not yours: you suck!” Beck himself accused Scarborough of denigrating the Tea Party as violent, despite the fact that he believes Scarborough has no facts to back up that assertion, Huffington Post reports.
