Newt Gingrich’s Sleazy ‘Hypocritical’ Affairs Exposed
February 23, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—Disgraced Former Speaker Newt Gingrich can run, but he can’t hide. The serial adulterer “family values” hack, who now makes a living as a direct marketing scammer, while appearing on right-wing outlets to promote his vile hate speech, was called out by a University of Pennsylvania college student last night for his sleazy affairs and three marriages. Ol’ Newt, who is yet again, pretending he may run for president in order to get attention and line his pockets some more, said his shady past doesn’t matter, and whatever, God has forgiven him, so take that you lefty commie liberal!
Gingrich, who has been on a tear lately peddling race-baiting rhetoric and bigoted demagoguery, including drawing direct parallels between President Obama and notorious mass murderers Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, spoke at the University of Pennsylvania, as the SPEC Connaissance Spring Speaker.
The event was billed, as “An Evening with Newt Gingrich! A discussion of American politics and the global transformation taking place now.”
As exciting as all that sounds, the first question out of the gate during the question and answer period, honed in on his family values hypocrisy. Newt cheated on his first wife and demanded a divorce while she was in the hospital battling cancer. Newt also cheated on his second wife with a much younger aide, who he is now married to, at the same time he voted to impeach Bill Clinton.
The student questioner, Isabel Friedman, went right for the kill, according to the Politico.
“You adamantly oppose gay rights… but you’ve also been married three times and admitted to having an affair with your current wife while you were still married to your second,” Isabel Friedman, president of the Penn Democrats, said to Gingrich. “As a successful politician who’s considering running for president, who would set the bar for moral conduct and be the voice of the American people, how do you reconcile this hypocritical interpretation of the religious values that you so vigorously defend?”
In response, Gingrich stumbled and bumbled, ducked and weaved, revealing himself as the disgraced hypocrite that he is.
“I’ll bet almost everybody here can gather the thrust of your question,” he said. “I appreciate the delicacy and generosity in the way it was framed. … I hope you feel better about yourself.”
“I’ve had a life which, on occasion, has had problems,” he added. “I believe in a forgiving God, and the American people will have to decide whether that their primary concern. If the primary concern of the American people is my past, my candidacy would be irrelevant. If the primary concern of the American people is the future… that’s a debate I’ll be happy to have with your candidate or any other candidate if I decide to run.”
Really, what sort of “future” could the sanctimonious Gingrich offer America, who was run out of town on a rail in a cloud of ethics investigations 12-years ago?
President Newt Gingrich? Only in our worst nightmares.
