Even Charlie Sheen Beats Out Palin With Independent Voters
March 17, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—How bad can it get for Sarah Palin? Well, it can’t get any worse than the results from the latest poll from Public Policy Polling showing independent voters choosing Charlie Sheen for president, of all people, over Palin. That’s right, a bloc of swing voters that largely determine elections, prefer a drug addled unbalanced actor to the divisive and unintelligent former half-term governor of Alaska. I suppose given that choice, they went with the candidate who had a chance of ” Duh, winning!”
The Public Policy Polling blog writes:
“We’ve found a lot of brutal poll numbers for Sarah Palin so far in 2011: down in South Dakota, down in South Carolina, down in Arizona, only up by 1 point in Texas, only up by 1 point in Nebraska to name a few. But this has to be the worst- independent voters say they would support Charlie Sheen over Palin for President by a 41/36 margin. Seriously.”
Worse, the pollsters say, with 67 percent of those polled holding unfavorable views of Sheen, he’s one of the most unpopular people ever polled. And he still came out ahead of Palin.
The hits keep coming for Palin. Just yesterday, a Washington Post-ABC News found that her negative rating with Republicans, at 37 percent, is the highest it’s ever been, and worse than the negatives of the leading Republican presidential hopefuls, even the smarmy thrice married and twice divorced Newt Gingrich, who recently blamed his serial adultery on the stress of loving America so much.
Really though, Charlie Sheen?
