Fox News’ Doocy: Obama’s Birth Certificate, ‘Not the Exact Birth Certificate’ (Video)

March 24, 2011

(ChattahBox Political News)—It’s apparently birther Thursday here at ChatttahBox. Fox News has predictably spent the past 24-hours promoting Donald Trump’s racist birther nonsense. But leave it to the dim-witted crew of Fox & Friends to add more fuel to the conspiracy fire. Co-host Steve Doocy, acknowledged that President Obama already produced a copy of his birth certificate during his presidential campaign. But according to Doocy, the document is suspect because it’s not the “exact” one. And Gretchen Carlson peddled the conspiracy theory that Obama was not showing his real birth certificate on purpose, to make right-wing birther Republicans look foolish. They don’t need any help from Obama on that score.

Gretchen Carlson is one step ahead of Obama’s devious plan to force Republicans to behave like racist fools when questioning his birthplace. In other words, birtherism is all Obama’s fault.

CARLSON: Have you ever thought about the fact thought that maybe, they are not showing it because it keeps sort of stirring the pot about these other people discussing it? And it doesn’t make them look so good maybe? That’s why.

Doocy adds a bit more doubt about Obama’s legitimacy.

DOOCY: We should also point out that the campaign did produce, before the election, something called a certificate of live birth, which is not the exact birth certificate but something the state says indicates that he was born in Hawaii.

That’s right, we are supposed to take the word of “something” the state of Hawaii produces? I think not!

The idiocy is mind-boggling.

But wait, maybe there’s hope. Co-host Brian Kilmeade appears as the voice of reason, arguing that there are more important issues to discuss. “I think we are so past this,” he says.

But Kilmeade’s attempt at seriousness rings hollow, when just last week, he hosted Jack Cashill, a crazed birther and Obama conspiracy theorist, on his Fox News radio show.
