Reports state that the floods, which have caused a massive amount of destruction in India, may have led to far more deaths than previously estimated.

Hundreds upon hundreds of villages in northern India were left under water from the floods.

The Disaster Management Division in India have stated that over 2.5 million people have been hit by the flooding in some capacity.

Just yesterday, the prime minister of India, Manmohan Singh, announced a huge relief package for those affected.

Aid agencies such as ActionAid and others claim that the government of India has greatly underestimated the death toll.

Over 2,000 people are feared to be dead, according to these agencies.
