Mexican Authorities Find Decapitated Bodies

December 22, 2008

Mexico (ChattahBox) – In another case of the growing drug-related violence of the region, Mexican authorities have found nine decapitated bodies in the southern city of Guerrero, Mexico. They were found after the discovery of the nine heads lying in plastic bags next to a grocery store, with a note containing threats of more decapitations to come.

These nine bodies are added to an annual tally of 5400 already killed this year in Mexico in relation to drug crime, and growing concerns over these numbers are causing closer global inspection. It has also led President Felipe Calderon to deploy over 40,000 troops to deal with the problem, although with more gangs fighting for additional turf, and kidnappings at an all time high, it doesn’t seem to be helping as much as he had hoped.

In the meantime, the message left with the heads has made their intentions perfectly clear; “For each one of us they kill, we’ll kill 10 of them.”
