But even those were guilty mainly of naivety. Do we give aid to Gambia? What about the tourist market? It seems our pounds and dollars are welcome, words less so. So how about we go in and pay hard cash to release this couple (which is possibly the point of the whole thing) and then cut their aid by at least 10 x the amount. Just a thought...
