Russian Airline Under Fire For Saying Drunk Pilot ‘No Big Deal’

February 5, 2009

Russia (ChattahBox) – The Russian airline, Aeroflight, has caused outrage after they allegedly told passengers who complained of their pilot being drunk that ‘intoxication wasn’t a big deal’.

Captain Alexander Cheplevsky was noticeably inebriated when he can over the PA system, repeating phrases, slurring his speech, and acting incoherent. When the passengers expressed concern over his condition, they were accused by the flight staff of causing trouble.

When a complaint was filed with the airline, a representative for the company, an apparent idiot, had this to say:

“It’s not such a big deal if the pilot is drunk. Really, all he has to do is press a button and the plane flies itself. The worst that could happen is he’ll trip over something in the cockpit.”

It took three hours for a new crew to be sent to the plane, and for the scheduled flight to New York to continue, an action that only occurred after a celebrity with ties to Vladamir Putin stepped in, and demanded something be done.

The company now claims that the pilot had no alcohol in his system, although no proof has been issued. As it is one in a long line of problems reported with Aeroflight, it would seem that this incident will not pass easily.
