UAE blocks Israeli cartoon mocking terrorists from YouTube (Video)

February 27, 2009

UAE (ChattahBox) – The United Arab Emirates have expressed outrage over an Israeli cartoon released on YouTube, which they say is offensive to Arabs.

The cartoon is based off of an anti-extremist ideal, but UAE officials say it goes further, and it moved to undermine the message of Islam. It is presented over YouTube with Hebrew and English subtitles.

The UAE has called for the cartoon to be blocked, in the latest attempt to keep the media sharing website out of their country. They have filed for a full YouTube block in the past.

The cartoon in question frequently shows attempts by older generations to urge the younger into suicide bombings and terrorist attacks being foiled, as the children turn against extremism and opt to fight against the extremists instead.
