Ex Pakistan Intelligence Agent Says: Nawaz Sharif Met With Osama Bin Laden Five Times

September 10, 2009

(ChattahBox)—An ex intelligence official with Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agency has made some startling claims on a news program, claiming former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif met secretly with al-Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden, who is responsible for the horrific terrorist attack of 9/11.

Khalid Khwaja, ex ISA official, appeard on the ARY news program, “Eleventh Hour,” where he claimed that he arranged five meetings between Osama bin Laden and Nawaz Sharif at the request of bin Laden and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief (PML-N).

Khwaja, expecting a denial of the accusations made against Sharif said, he hoped the former Prime Minister would not “tell a lie.” “I challenge the deniers of such meetings and can present solid evidences in this respect,” Khwaja said.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has vigorously denied Khwaja’s claims of secret meetings with Osama bin Laden. Secretary of the League, Ahsan Iqbal called Khwaja’s claims “meaningless.”

Khwaja boasted of personally meeting with Osama bin Laden on at least one hundred occasions, “but not after the 9/11 incident.”
