Three Blasts In Ramadi Kill Dozens, Injure More

October 11, 2009

Iraq (ChattahBox) – At least 22 people are dead, and more than 60 seriously injured, after three blasts went off in the city of Ramadi.

The first explosion came from a car loaded with explosives, which was driven into the wall of a police station.

This was followed by two more, coming from smaller vehicles in the city, including a motorcycle, and another car that blasted off outside of a hospital.

“I saw police cars and firefighters, and they started to carry out the wounded and dead. Minutes later, a second explosion took place,” eyewitness Musaab Ali Mohammed told the Associated Press, and was quoted by the BBC.

“After that, policemen started to fire in the air and called upon civilians to leave, fearing a third blast.”

This is the third suicide bomb this week, with 39 so far reported dead.
