February 17, 2010

UK (ChattahBox) – An unnamed Saudi prince is being held in connection to a murder that occurred in a five star London hotel this week.

According to police, a 32-year-old Saudi man who is believed to have been a business contact of the prince was found dead with several severe injuries to the head.

He was found in the Landmark Hotel in Central London, though the prince was arrested as a suspect five hours later in Westminster.

The murder seems to have occurred sometime on Monday afternoon.

When asked about the incident, the hotel released the following statement:

“Unfortunately, the Landmark Hotel can confirm the death of a guest on Monday who was staying at the hotel.

“Police were informed immediately and have launched an investigation surrounding this incident and we are co-operating fully with them and are therefore unable to comment further.

“This is an isolated incident and our thoughts are with the relatives of the deceased.”
