Afghanistan Attack On Government Buildings Kills Official

Afghanistan (ChattahBox) – Seven militants and a government official are dead after a deadly suicide bombing, followed by an ongoing gun battle between insurgents and security personnel in southwest Afghanistan.
The attack occurred outside the governor’s building in Zaranj, where the seven suicide bombers blew themselves up.
When the police arrived they were engaged in a shootout with insurgents, that is reportedly still going on.
At least five officers have been wounded, and one government official has been killed. The official is not Governor Ghulam Dastagir Azad.
There is at least one insurgent still alive at the time of publication.
